Diagnostic Procedure
eVox System
An advanced diagnostic tool for evaluating brain function and cognitive health.
The eVox system is an advanced diagnostic tool used to evaluate brain function and cognitive health. It combines electroencephalography (EEG) with evoked response potentials (ERP) and cognitive performance testing to provide a comprehensive picture of how your brain is functioning. Garden State Medical Group is proud to offer this technology as part of our Memory and Cognition Care Program.
The eVox assessment measures brain electrical activity, processing speed, memory function, and attention. Unlike traditional cognitive screening tools that rely solely on questionnaire-based assessments, eVox provides objective, measurable data about brain function. This data can help identify cognitive decline at earlier stages than conventional methods.
The test is non-invasive and painless. You will wear a lightweight headset with sensors that record your brainwave patterns while you complete a series of simple tasks on a screen. The entire assessment takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. There is no radiation, no injections, and no special preparation required.
eVox results are compared against a normative database of healthy individuals in your age group. This comparison helps your provider determine whether your brain function falls within a normal range or shows patterns consistent with cognitive impairment. The data can also be used to track changes in brain function over time, making it a valuable tool for monitoring treatment effectiveness.
If you or a family member is concerned about memory loss, difficulty concentrating, confusion, or changes in cognitive performance, the eVox system can provide objective answers. Call Garden State Medical Group at (201) 453-2800 to schedule a cognitive assessment at our North Bergen or Secaucus office.
